Hello, I am Nicole Granger-Wannop
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist, EMDR therapist, and a permanently certified Alberta teacher. My psychological training and experience include formal assessment, intervention, and counselling. In addition to my formal training and experience, I am a mother of two school-aged children.
I offer both individual therapy sessions and assessments for children, youth, and adults. I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, learning disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other life challenges. Through gentle and responsive approach a safe and predictable environment created to engage in the counselling or assessment process. I strives to support my clients in developing a rich understanding of self, meeting healthy and positive goals, and uncovering their full potential. In my work I primarily utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family System (IFS) techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and Play Therapy techniques.
When engaging in the assessment process I utilizes a strength-based approach to uncover the unique areas of strength and areas for growth of each individual and develops meaningful recommendations to support functioning at home, school, and in the community. It is my goal that all individuals feel empowered and gain a holistic understanding of themselves through the assessment process.
